Paris Fashion Week - Gareth Pugh
PPQ Backstage at London Fashion Week
Backstage at PPQ the 1960's inspired make-up looks hit the catwalk at London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010.
Massive matt hair buns inspired by Queen Nefertiti are continuing the trend to big hair with texture again.
The 1960's drawn in false underlashes was back along with some fabulous false lashes made especially by Shu Uemura in Japan for a really eye-catching look.

New York Fashion Week Matt is back
New York is leading the way for 2010 beauty trends by abandoning the oil slick look of illuminating foundations finally! The last time the british female population was this shiny was in the 1960's and it soon went out of fashion then. The shiny look is great for the catwalk but if you see ladies by 11pm on nights out you will know what I mean the skin does not look radiant and healthy! It looks like they are sweaty and oily which is not a particularly attractive look. Give products containing mica a miss and go for matt for a really classy look or if you really want a bit of shine tone it down with powder as suggested in Neil Youngs video, try smoky eyes with nude lips is my advise

Fuller eyebrows by creating texture, invest in brushes don't follow bad hygiene practises though lol!
Growing Old which approach do you prefer
These two famous film sirens and rivals could not be more opposed in their approaches to growing old. Bridgette Bardot an active animal rights campaigner has let nature take it's natural course, whereas Sophie Loren has invested in an active anti-ageing campaign that as we can see has paid dividens. Brigette reminds me of my grandmother and how older women used to be seen in and upto the 1980's, with modern cosmetics, botox, fillers and cosmetic surgery this look seemed to be relegated to the past by our glamourous "A" list celebrities but who know's should the natural approach to ageing be encouraged? Or should women be encouraged to remain vibrant youthful looking, ousing sex appeal, demonstrating that there is still lots of life left in them?
Which approach do you prefer and why?
