New York is leading the way for 2010 beauty trends by abandoning the oil slick look of illuminating foundations finally! The last time the british female population was this shiny was in the 1960's and it soon went out of fashion then. The shiny look is great for the catwalk but if you see ladies by 11pm on nights out you will know what I mean the skin does not look radiant and healthy! It looks like they are sweaty and oily which is not a particularly attractive look. Give products containing mica a miss and go for matt for a really classy look or if you really want a bit of shine tone it down with powder as suggested in Neil Youngs video, try smoky eyes with nude lips is my advise
